Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2025 took place from 12 to 14 November 2025 in Tokyo, Japan.
Mobility Innovation Week Japan has been held annually since FY2023, co-organized by the Mobility Innovation Alliance Japan and ITS Japan, building on the SIP-adus Workshop under the Cabinet Office’s Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) – Phase I: “Automated Driving Systems” and Phase II: ”Automated Driving for Universal Services”.
Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2024 was held including workshops regarding future mobility innovation (e.g., automated driving), Japanese pilot test-site visits, etc. A total of 177 participants, including 48 from overseas, shared approaches, discussed technical, institutional, and social issues, and explored opportunities for international collaboration.
The third edition of Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2025, held under the theme “Co-creating Life-centric Mobility for Tomorrow,” aimed to explore the impacts of technological innovation on people’s lives and ecosystems. Compared to last year, the key change was that the Plenary Session was expanded to two full days, providing richer and more comprehensive input. In addition to interactive Breakout Workshops on mobility innovation, the program also included “CAMP.”
The HIDDEN project was presented by Mr. Tom Alkim – Strategic Advisor Connected & Automated Mobility from MapTM, a partner in the AIGGREGATE project- who delivered a presentation on “PDI, or no PDI for CCAM? That’s the question…“, during breakout session 5 on Friday 14 Nov. His presentation is available here.
