Following the successful HIDDEN webinar “From Principles to Practice: Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) in AI-Driven CCAM”, held on 26 May 2026, the HIDDEN consortium is pleased to announce the publication of a new article exploring the growing importance of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) in European research and innovation.Following the successful HIDDEN webinar “From Principles to Practice: Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) in AI-Driven CCAM”, held on 26 May 2026, the HIDDEN consortium in collaboration with SSH Experts are pleased to announce the publication of a new article exploring the growing importance of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) in European research and innovation.
Entitled “The Value of Including Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) in EU-Funded Innovation and Research: The HIDDEN Project”, the article brings together perspectives from experts across engineering, psychology, ethics, law, standardisation, human factors and social sciences, demonstrating how interdisciplinary collaboration is essential for the successful deployment and societal acceptance of Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) technologies. Its main scope is to highlight how integrating SSH throughout the entire innovation lifecycle contributes to the development of automated mobility solutions that are not only technologically advanced but also ethical, inclusive, trustworthy and aligned with real societal needs.
